Happy Hour Recap

Just a quick post to say that our first TeachStreet Teacher Happy Hour last night was a raging success! We had more than 30 teachers come and join us at Cherry Street Coffee House. We chatted and schmoozed and swapped stories about how to build better teaching businesses and learned more about how use the TeachStreet web site. But most of all had a great time getting to know the folks who’ve been instrumental in making TeachStreet a fantastic place to learn new things — our amazing instructors!

Thanks everyone for coming and hanging out with us. Can’t wait for Round #2!

Remember if you have questions or want to get involved in guest blogging or planning an event yourself… feel free to catch up with us online.

And I can’t leave without showing off a few pics from the fab evening:

“Oh, we’re having SO much fun!” TeachStreet CEO Dave and Yoga instructor Soleil Hepner

TeachStreeter Harold

Wow! what an event! This looks so awesome. Just the skill sets in the room are impressive, but I’ll bet it was pretty fun too! Great job, Joseph and Katie!!

It was awesome meeting all the teachers, and looking forward to the next one. We’d love to get some collaborations with some teachers in the local area too, so don’t hesitate to contact me.

Thanks so much for having this event. I was impressed with the staff at Teachstreet, as well as the teachers I met. You guys were so helpful all night, and when I called the next day. Looking forward to the next one.

Glad you liked it Mary! We were equally impressed with all the amazing instructors who are out there doing great things. We’re excited to have more events as well. Can’t wait to see you at the next one!

I usually can’t stand that typical party question, “What do you do?” Well, at this party I was fascinated to hear the responses and kept asking for more – like, “How did you start doing it?” and “Where do you do it?” and the final one, “Can I do it?” Your enthusiasm got me saying, “yes” to it all. Thanks for creating the space to share. Much a-bun-dance to all.

I was so bummed to miss it! That looks fun!

I am raring to go if it’s on a Thursday, Friday, or Sunday! I teach Mon-Wed nights! And there could be a bellydance performance in it for ya, if the timing works out! Hope to meet everyone soon!

@Mary it was great to finally meet you in person, like Katie said — we were amazed to the see the diversity in different subjects out there. Until next time!

@Soleil We’re really glad you had fun, our real goal is to connect people around learning and teaching to make real life connection, and hopefully yesterday was an example of that.

@Sharon Sorry you weren’t able to come, but definitely there will be more opportunites — and I’m going to definitely take you up on that offer for the performance!

    Cheers!
