Celebrate Creating Art

It wasn’t long ago, if a person (and this was mostly available to men) wanted to be an artist, he had to either be born into that occupation, or study for many years in an academy of art in order to, one day, have a hope of filling-in the master’s originals. Only the few elite could create original art, and even fewer would dare make art for their own pleasure.
We’re fortunate to be living in a time when art classes are available to everyone. You don’t have to become a famous artist in order to celebrate of the joy of self expression and enrich your life by creating art. In fact, lots of students at my Seattle art studio, AWE Studio, are astonished to discover the beautiful work they can learn to create.
Take a look at some of the Pastel Landscapes done recently in a class at the Studio. All of these students consider themselves to be novice artists, but what they have produced reveals capacities well worth developing.
