Slides from Mongo Seattle

I’d like to thank the folks over at 10Gen (especially Meghan Gill) for putting on a fantastic conference about MongoDB yesterday at the Hotel Deca, here in Seattle.  Scott and I attended and learned a lot about MongoDB, from tips & tricks to internals and the product roadmap. It definitely whetted our appetite to use Mongo in more of our projects! We also got to spend time with a bunch of local developers, including Evan Jacobs, who is building a cool application on top of the TeachStreet API! (more on that to come.)

Towards the end of the day, I gave a presentation entitled “Real Value in Real Time” about the TeachStreet Metrics Dashboard, and why and how we implemented it using MongoDB. There should be a video of my talk posted online shortly, but in the meantime feel free to peruse the slides below, and please leave a comment if you have any questions.

P.S.  Thanks also goes out to MediaTemple, who put on an excellent after-party  at Tavern Law on Capitol Hill – lots of great conversations, fueled by copious amounts of delicious food and tasty beverages.
